  • Who is the use of the pool limited to?
    Use of the swimming pool is limited to Blue Heron estate families who are current in their recreational fees and additional families who have paid a seasonal license fee.
  • How old do you have to be to go to the pool alone?
    Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or other care attendant 18 years of age or older.
  • What must be done prior to entering the pool?
    We encourage all swimmers to utilize the outdoor showers prior to entering the pool. Studies confirm that this is an effective way to minimize health risks to all.
  • What am I agreeing to when I register and enter the pool?
    By registering and entering BHS&TC, LLC’s swimming pool enclosure you agree for yourself, family members and guests to abide by the safety and public health rules adopted by Blue Heron Lakes, LLC for use of the swimming pool facilities.
  • Is smoking permitted?
    Smoking is strictly prohibited.
  • What objects are prohibited?
    Glass articles, sharp metal objects, and other hazardous objects are not permitted
  • Are pets/animals allowed?
    No pets/animals of any kind are permitted
  • Is rough play permitted?
    No running, shoving, boisterous or rough play is permitted in or around the swimming pool.
  • Are bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades allowed?"
    No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or any other motorized transporters are allowed in the swimming pool enclosure.
  • Are outside food/beverages allowed?
    Outside food & drink are permitted in grass covered areas and are prohibited in the pool and adjacent concrete decks. No food, gum, beverages and glass items in the dressing room. Bringing in your own cooler is permitted.
  • Will I be removed from the pool if I am suspected of being under the influence?
    Don’t use the swimming pool when under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited from entering the swimming pool. No alcohol containers or the consumption of alcohol are prohibited.
  • What does the lifeguard's whistle indicate?
    At the sound of the lifeguard’s whistle all activities around and in the swimming pool will stop and all swimmers will immediately, without question, follow the directions and orders of the lifeguard
  • How old must children be to enter the pool unsupervised?
    Swimming by children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult.
  • What attire should be worn?
    Proper swimming attire required. Swimmers are not allowed to swim in street clothes as they tend to clog the pool filters.
  • Is diving allowed?
    Diving is strictly prohibited.
  • During breaks who must be out of the pool?
    All persons must be out of the pool during lifeguard & water treatment breaks.
  • Is swimming allowed in the rain?
    No swimming during heavy rain or when thunder and lightning can be seen or heard. All activities must be suspended if it determines that lighting is 6-8 miles away or thunder has been heard. Swimmers will not be allowed to return until the last evidence of thunder, lighting, or significant rain has passed for thirty (30) minutes.
  • Am I allowed to use the pool if I am sick or have an open wound?
    No person having an obvious communicable disease, skin eruption, cut, sore or lesion, inflamed eyes, ear, nose, or throat infection is permitted to enter and use the swimming pool.
  • Am I allowed to swim with sunburn?
    No person with excessive sunburn, open blisters or bandages is permitted to enter and use the swimming pool.
  • If I have had Diarrhea in the last two weeks may I enter the pool?
    No swimming by any person who has diarrhea or having had diarrhea within the last two weeks as recommended by the CDC.
  • What should I do if I or someone else discharges or passes urine, feces, or blood in either pool?"
    Immediately report to a lifeguard any discharges or passing of urine, feces, or blood by any swimmer.
  • What should be worn by swimmers that are incontinent, lack toilet training or are otherwise lacking voluntary control of excretory functions?"
    Swim diapers must be worn by swimmers that are incontinent, lack toilet training or are otherwise lacking voluntary control of excretory functions.
  • What should children wear who are 3 years or younger?
    Children 3 years and younger or any child not potty trained must wear a water resistant diaper.
  • What should children do before entering the pool?
    Children are encouraged to use the restroom and outdoor shower before entering the swimming pool.
  • May I stand on any of the furnishing, toilets, or sinks?"
    No standing on any furnishings, toilets or sinks
  • May I run in the dressing room?
    No running or chasing in the dressing room
  • May I snap my towel at anyone in the dressing room, at the pool or tennis court?"
    No snapping of towels or other objects at any person
  • May I throw an object in the dressing room?
    No throwing objects in the dressing room
  • Can I wear jewelry?
    The wearing of jewelry is discouraged to prevent loss, damage or personal injury
  • Can I leave anything in the dressing room?
    When exiting the dressing room take all personal articles and any valuables from the dressing room with you. Please keep the dressing room looking clean - please pick up after yourself.
  • Who is responsible for the damage or theft of a personal article or valuable left in the dressing room or pool?
    BHS&TC is not responsible and assumes no responsibility for damage to, theft of or loss of personal articles and/or any valuables left in a dressing room or left poolside.
  • What would happen if I were found defacing or damaging anything at the complex?
    Anyone found or reported defacing or damaging the complex is subject to the revocation of that person’s and other family members’ rights to utilize the swimming pool facilities. Anyone found or reported defacing or damaging the complex will be held financially responsible.
  • Is there a lifeguard in attendance at the wading pool?
    PARENTS - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN UNSUPERVISED - LIFEGUARDS ARE NOT BABYSITTERS. The Medina County Health Department does not require a lifeguard at the wading pool due to its limited square footage.
  • What should children wear in the wading pool?
    All children in diapers must wear plastic pants with snug-fitting elastic waist and leg bands. Do not wash out soiled diapers in the wading pool
  • What are children encouraged to do before entering the wading pool?
    Children are encouraged to use the restroom and outdoor showers before entering the wading pool.
  • What should I do if an individual discharges or passes urine, feces, or blood in the wading pool?"
    Immediately report any discharges or passing of urine, feces, or blood by a child In the wading pool to a lifeguard.
  • For safety reasons who has the final say?
    FOR SAFETY AND PUBLIC HEALTH REASONS ALL DIRECTIONS AND ORDERS BY LIFEGUARDS WILL BE OBEYED. LIFEGUARDS AND BHS&TC EMPLOYEES HAVE THE HAVE FINAL SAY.
  • Is an ID required to enter the pool or tennis courts?
    Yes, all members of all ages must have an up to date photo ID issued by BHS&TC LLC
  • Where do I fill out my registration forms?
    In the top menu bar under plans and pricing then select resident or non resident.
  • Is taking pictures or video of any kind allowed in the dressing room?
    No, for respect and privacy reasons we ask all members to please refrain from taking pictures or video of any kind in the dressing room (e.g. Snapchat, Tik Tok, ect.).
